Health and safety resettlement training

When preparing for resettlement, it is important to choose the right training partner to enable you to achieve your goals. In the military you are consistently facing up to challenges within your role. Let us provide you with the qualifications to develop your career further. At SMC we can advise you of the best career path forward as we offer many approaches to learning and have many years’ experience in recommending the right training for delegates.

Our team of training consultants include Ex-Service personnel who from their experience of the Enhanced Learning Accredited Scheme can guide you through the process having used their own Enhanced Learning Credits (ELC) to further develop their career in future employment outside the Armed Forces. From recently becoming an approved ELCAS learning partner SMC look very much forward to providing bespoke training services to serving and ex serving Armed Forces members.

 Enhanced Learning Credits Administration Services

The MOD's Enhanced Learning Credits Scheme (ELC) is an initiative to promote lifelong learning amongst members of the Armed Forces. The ELC scheme provides financial support in the form of a single up-front payment in each of a maximum of three separate financial years. ELC funding is only available for pursuit of higher level learning i.e. for courses that result in a nationally recognised qualification at Level 3 or above on the National Qualifications Framework (NQF) (England and Wales), a Level 6 or above on the Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework (SCQF).

There are several stages to the ELC process. Full information is set out in Joint Service Publications (JSP) 898 Part 4, Chapter 3.

The Enhanced Learning Credit Scheme:

First you must register to become an ELCAS Member and accrue a sufficient amount of service before you can submit a claim.

Then you must select a relevant course ensuring that it meets the higher level learning criteria (level three or above) and an Approved ELC Provider.

Thirdly, you must complete and submit an ELC claim, approved by an authorised Education Staff if you are in service or your Single Service Representative if you are out of service.
